CSC/CVV2 Verification Available.

The team at SecurePayTech.com are pleased to announce the completion of the development and testing of new functionality designed to decrease fraudulent transactions for merchants.

We now support the verification of credit card security codes, commonly known as CSC or CVV2 codes, that are on the back of credit cards. By providing this verification service, it provides an additional step to ensure that the customer proceeding with a purchase has the actual credit card in their possession.

Currently, this functionality is only supported by the WestPac bank for their merchants, however we recommend you contact your Merchant Bank Account manager and request this functionality if you are with any of the ASB, BNZ or National Bank.

We have updated the documentation on our website to include the new code changes your application would need to use this functionality, and this can be viewed in the following PDF:

If you would like to proceed with using this functionality, then simply:

1. contact your Merchant Bank Account manager and request they configure your account to support CSC/CVV2 verification
2. contact support@securepaytech.com and request us to configure this functionality on your behalf at ETSL/Paymark

Once this is completed, and your code is updated you will be able to improve the integrity of your payments and reduce fraudulent orders by including the verification of the CSC/CVV2 verification code with all payments.

If you do not wish to make use of this new feature of securepaytech.com, no action is required on your part, simply continue using securepaytech.com as normal.
